Over the hill on the other side of causeway

The Davis Art Center is middle-aged: 2010 is the 50th year the center has been providing art services to the community. And instead of buying a flashy red convertible sports car, the center will be presenting A Seed Planted: A Tribute to Robert Arneson, an exhibition of work by former students of the sculptor, as well as a few of Arneson’s own pieces. There will be a clay workshop, “Make a Brick or Bust!,” on Friday, January 9, from 1 to 4 p.m. Farsty factoid: Arneson’s middle name is Carston.
