Operation: Restore Maximum Freedom VII this Saturday at Plainfield Station, 23944 County Road 98 in Woodland; 2 to 10 p.m.; all ages; $8 advance, $10 door.

This Saturday, KDVS will host its seventh not-so-annual Operation: Restore Maximum Freedom at quaint and secluded Plainfield Station—a place with a Texas Chainsaw Massacre-ish vibe that’s still probably one of the sicker venues on that side of Yolo County. One can expect the usual O:RMF shenanigans: hordes of road bikes, underage kids doing whip-its and the inimitable odor combination of tobacco/PBR/vintage shirts. Oh yeah, there’s probably going to be some bands playing, too. Locals Silver Darling and Mayyors will be joined by Bay Area natives Wooden Shjips, Thee Oh Sees, Please Quiet Ourselves and the Nothing, along with Eternal Tapestry and Meth Teeth, who are making their way down from Portland. For you Davis locals with transportation issues, there will be a bus leaving the Memorial Union bus stop on the UC Davis campus at 1:30 and 6:00 p.m., but if you’re a die-hard O:RMF fan, then you already have a road bike that you spent way too much money on to afford a friggin’ bus ride.
