Martin Lawrence Live: Runteldat

Rated 2.0 Comedian and Hollywood bad boy Lawrence wants us all to run and tell that “no one is immune to the trials and tribulations of life.” Even a famous and rich man such as he has problems. So he divides his “live” Washington, D.C, performance between profanity-laced descriptions of his tabloid-size run-ins with the law (Richard Pryor did this years ago with much more lacerating insight and wit), childbirth, child discipline, a hospital stay in which he defecated on himself, and various sexual activities including his reaction to having sex during a female partner’s menstrual cycle. Lawrence exhibits the energy and stage presence of a star. It’s too bad his material is light years behind. Directed by David Raynr (Whatever It Takes, Trippin’).
