Little House on the Prairie: The Musical

This pleasant but predictable touring musical revisits the 1930s novel and later TV series (1974, with 10-year-old Melissa Gilbert as Laura “Half-Pint” Ingalls). Gilbert, now 45, plays Ma this time around. The show offers few surprises and the songs are so-so, but the production has amiable charm and iconic images of pioneers on the plains.
