Rosemont High School Marching Band and orchestra 21
The Rosemont High School Marching Band, under the direction of Philip Angove, is a talented group of young musicians within the extensive Rosemont High School Music Department. Rosemont High School offers students a diverse selection of music courses, ranging from large performance ensembles to classes on audio recording and music production. The performance this evening features impressive student achievements within these classes. Students in Rosemont’s Digital Music course have composed works for symphonic orchestra, and through a competitive process, local and Bay Area composers have selected RHS student Clyde Patterson’s four-movement symphony, A Carnaval’s Crusade, as the most outstanding composition of the current academic year. Clyde’s symphony moved through several levels of the National Parent Teacher Association Student Composition Contest. Tonight, two movements of the work will be performed by two groups. “The House of Mirrors” will be performed by members of Orchestra 21. Orchestra 21 is an accomplished group that has been dedicated to premiering the compositions of Northern California’s most contemporary composers since 2007. The second movement, “Fanfare to the Beast,” will feature the combined forces of the RHS Marching Band and Orchestra 21.

Her parents have been extremely supportive of her musical endeavors, relentlessly pursuing voice coach Marina Lynch when Meagan was only 9 years old, who refused to take her because of her young age, until she finally heard Meagan sing. Meagan has been under Marina’s tutelage for the past three years.
