High Fidelity

A record shop owner (John Cusack) recounts some of his more painful breakups as he tries to win back the hand of the latest woman to ditch him. This consistently hilarious film captures the insanity of relationships and the cockiness of record store workers who have beyond-average musical knowledge. Cusack is perfect as Rob, the record aficionado fond of Top-5 lists. Jack Black finally gets a role to shine in as one of his employees. Nice cameos by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Tim Robbins. I can’t see how anyone would not like this film.
