So, would you pay 55 bucks to eat at a cafeteria? Even if it was for charity? Ah, I knew you had a heart to go with that belly. This Tuesday, Cafeteria 15L, located at 15th and L streets at the former site of Mason’s Restaurant, will hold its grand opening, a fundraiser for youth charity Hope Productions Foundation. Tickets are $45 in advance and $55 at the door, and the price includes Cafeteria’s eats and live music by Utz! and the Shuttlecocks (yikes!). Mess-hall and food-fight jokes aside, I’m kinda excited about Cafeteria 15L; I’m told its New York City sister eatery is tops. Plus, I like having more than five mac ’n’ cheese options for dinner. Anyway, the party’s doors open at 6 p.m.; find out more at www.hopeproductions.org.
