The goal of the Hoes Down Harvest Celebration is to promote a sustainable planet where the basic needs of its present population are met, yet the natural resources are preserved for future generations. One way to achieve this goal is through sustainable agriculture. Stop by the celebration and discover how sustainable agriculture can maintain farming productivity while conserving resources, being commercially competitive and, of course, being environmentally sound. Plus, enjoy farm tours, hay rides, pumpkin carving, live music and a cornucopia of fresh, organic food—yummy! The event will be held this Saturday from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults, $5 for kids ages 2 through 15 and free for those younger than 2. It all happens at the Full Belly Farm located off of Highway 16 in the Capay Valley. Call (800) 791-2110 or visit www.hoesdown.org for more information.
