Get out of town

Spring is finally here after what seemed like an eternity of rain, freezing gusts of wind and vitamin D deficiency. Celebrate the new season and more sunlight with a trip to the Farm on Putah Creek on Sunday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be hayrides, a guided educational walk along Putah Creek, a chance to cultivate spring vegetables, and presentations about soil and birds. The event is free and visitors can bring picnic lunches. Farm on Putah Creek is located at 5265 Putah Creek Road in Winters.
