Genghis Blues

Rated 3.0 Filmmakers Roko and Adrian Belic record the 1995 journey of blind bluesman Paul Pena and assorted Bay Area cohorts to a throat-singing festival in Tuva, a small republic between Siberia and Mongolia. Pena’s alienation from his American background combines with his love of exotic and traditional music to give Genghis Blues a countercultural element which is its most eloquently expressed aspect.
