San Francisco-based heavy-metal-meets-classical-strings trio Judgement Day—brothers Anton and Lewis Patzner and drummer Jon Bush—are something different. If you’ve never seen them live, you are a) unfortunate, and also b) missing out on some innovative cello and violin heavy metal, complete with epic up-tempo drumming by the non-blood-related foot-stomper in the bunch.
