Fish story

The fish was this big.

The fish was this big.

Once upon a time, a Northern California angler said goodbye to society, built a redwood log cabin and spent his life obsessively fishing California’s rich coastal waters. The sometimes unbelievable story of Bill Schaadt and the exclusive Northern California fly-fishing community is a fish tale unlike any other. It’s also a tragic story about the salmon and steelhead crisis affecting the coastal fisheries today. Taking nearly four years to complete, Rivers of a Lost Coast, narrated by Tom Skerritt, will show Wednesday, April 22 and Thursday, April 23, at 5:30 and 8 p.m. at the Crest Theatre, 1013 K Street. Tickets are $10.
