Dinosaur

Rated 3.0 Disney’s animated adventure is filled with glorious vistas and amazingly detailed features and movements of prehistoric creatures. It’s too bad the lumbering story and talking reptiles and mammals gradually betray the spectacular first quarter of the film. An orphaned iguanodon and his new lemur family join a herd of dinosaurs on a dangerous trek to an ancient nesting ground. Their quest for sanctuary is a sort of high-tech blend of The Land Before Time (dinosaurs fleeing a plague to reach the Great Valley), The Land Before Time III (caring and sharing themes), Tarzan (stranger in a strange land) and The Lion King (a battle for leadership).
