Bein’ green

Kermit was right. It’s not easy bein’ green. But two Friday events can help: Greenwise Sacramento and Innovate. Greenwise is a free program hosted by Mayor Kevin Johnson that brings leaders in the green community to Sacramento. Friday’s meeting features environmental activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Innovate is an event put on by the Sacramento Metro Chamber to explore how local communities and green business leaders can help each other. It features speakers Andrew Hargadon, faculty director of the UC Davis Center for Entrepreneurship, and Jonathan Spalter, chairman of Mobile Futures. Greenwise will occur Friday at 10:30 a.m. Innovate will begin at 11:30 a.m. Both events take place at the Hyatt Regency, 1209 L Street.
