Full disclosure: Jennifer Laurel Keller, one of the featured artists at Fe Gallery this month, used to work with this writer several years ago. That’s the thing about the Sacramento art scene. It’s so quaint that to be involved in it, one will undoubtedly encounter the same players multiple times. And Keller was unavoidable when she co-owned Midtown’s CoolCat Gallery a few years back. Recently, she’s relocated from Sacramento to the East Bay, but her paintings will be available to view at Fe Gallery through November 30. This collection of work is mostly of avians, save one of fish (pictured), and Keller says her 2-D illustrative style with bold outlines and vivid colors reminds her “of folk art.”
