Wes Craven Presents: Dracula 2000

Rated 1.0 With films like Traffic and State and Main now in town, you have no reason whatsoever to put yourself through repugnant garbage like this film. The plot is simple: Dracula gets unleashed in the year 2000 and basically behaves like a major asshole. Christopher Plummer plays Van Helsing with an exaggerated accent that causes him to spit all over the camera lens, and he still manages to be the best thing about the film. The first 20 minutes or so of the film are semi-watchable, and then everything goes to hell really fast. Bad acting, bad, bad script and a lame attempt to put a new spin on Dracula’s real identity. I reiterate: Stay the hell away from this film, unless you want to hurt yourself, and those who love you, who will suffer in your presence after you obtain a grumpy and belligerent, post-viewing attitude.
