An amazing movie experience, packed with universally great performances from the entire cast and propelled by the expert directing of P.T. Anderson (Boogie Nights). Chronicles a day in the life of many characters in the San Fernando Valley, including Jason Robards as a dying family patriarch and Tom Cruise as his sex guru son. It’s a three-hour movie that never missteps and builds to an incredible conclusion. Unlike anything you have ever seen, it’s the best film of 1999. Cruise and Robards deserve Oscar nominations, as do most of the people in the great cast, which includes William H. Macy, John C. Reilly and Julianne Moore.
