Where the Money Is

Rated 3.0 Septuagenarian Paul Newman shows off his still-limber acting chops in this lightweight caper from British director Marek Kanievska (Less Than Zero). Newman plays a crusty master bank robber who is temporarily released from prison for medical attention. He is then pressured by one of his nurses (Linda Fiorentino) to join her and her husband (Dermot Mulroney) in an armored car heist. The story is thin and implausible, but Newman is fun to watch as his character joins forces with a young married couple who feel like they were yanked from a verse of Bruce Springsteen’s “Glory Days.
