Cars

Rated 5.0

A hotshot racing car who cares about nobody but himself (voice by Owen Wilson) gets stranded in Radiator Springs, a deserted town on the old Route 66 bypassed by history and the Interstate System, where the people … er, cars … ah, citizens give him a different outlook on the road he’s traveling. Here it is, another masterpiece from director John Lasseter and his fellow geniuses at Pixar Animation Studios, once again raising the bar out of reach of everyone but themselves. It would be monotonous if every new film weren’t so unique and original, never wasting a moment or making a false move, with vivid characters, masterful story development and even more breathtaking animation than before. The DVD of this one will be prime freeze-frame material, as so many brilliant jokes fly by too quickly to catch.
