Clockstoppers

Rated 2.0 Nickelodeon’s readily disposable sci-fi adventure action comedy is not about stopping time but rather speeding up characters into a “hypertime” in which everyone else around them appears to be frozen or barely moving. Physicist George Gibbs (Robin Thomas) has implanted this imperfect “molecular acceleration” in a watch that his son Zak (Jesse Bradford) pilfers from the family laundry room. Zak learns from another scientist (French Stewart) that his dad has been kidnapped into hyperspace by an evil millionaire (The Terminator’s Michael Biehn) and uses the timepiece and the help of a pretty foreign exchange student (Paula Garces) to retrieve him before he irrevocably ages. Directed by Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: the Next Generation).
