Piper’s Opera House featured some of the world’s best performers during Virginia City’s heyday of the 1870s-’80s. More than 140 years and several renovations later, the grand theater continues to bring the arts to the Comstock. This Friday, Wing & A Prayer Dance Company will premiere new company repertory as well as new works by choreographers John Mead, Sarah Stackhouse and Anne Westwick. The modern dance company, which features dancers of all ages, will perform 7 p.m. March 4 at Piper’s, 12 N. B St, Virginia City. Tickets are $6-$10. Call 847-0433 or 323-0766. —Kelley Lang
