Stage pick of the week

No, it won’t star Elizabeth Taylor, but fans of the Bard can get a dose of shrewish glee when Carson Performing Arts performs its rendition of The Taming of the Shrew. Performances will be held at the Carson High School Black Box, 1111 N. Saliman Road, at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18 and 20 and Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. Jan. 20-21 and at 3 p.m. Jan. 31. Performances will also be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 27-28 in the Redfield Proscenium Theatre at the University of Nevada, Reno. Tickets are $6 for general admission, $5 for students and seniors and $4 for children and Carson High students. Call 885-6331.
