Sparks city workers have been preparing the former Pacific Pawnbrokers building, left, for demolition. Asbestos removal has already been completed. The city government pressured Pacific to move out of the downtown and bought both this property and two nearby properties, one of which also had active businesses on it. The city is uncertain what it will do with the parcels.
