Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde

Rated 1.0 While the original Legally Blonde had some charm, it also presented no need to revisit any of the characters contained within it. That hasn’t stopped the sequel mill from churning and Reese Witherspoon from accepting a big paycheck to reprise the role of Elle Woods, the now highly annoying lawyer who fights for just causes and better wardrobes. This film has Woods heading to Washington, D.C., where she predictably gives government buttheads a little burst of irritating Elle power. A subplot where Woods’ dog Bruiser realizes his homosexuality is almost funny, but everything else in this film is useless. Witherspoon had better be careful about her next film choices if she doesn’t want the entire world to start hating her screen persona.
