The first farmers’ market of the year opened Saturday, May 14, in Carson City at the Greenhouse Garden Center, 2450 S. Curry St. It’s a small “mini market” and is open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays through June 4. That’s when bigger markets throughout the region will get underway.
