Eco-Event: Dessert gala

The Holland Project and Great Basin Community Food Co-op invites you to “put your money where your mouth is” on Sept. 8, for their “Dessert Gala.” Things like vegan chocolate chip cookies, local strawberry cheesecake and gluten-free tortes—all of it organic—will be served, offering up a taste of what’s to come at the co-op’s new bakery and new location. Tickets are $100 for an unlimited amount of sweets, local white wine or virgin mint juleps, live music by My Flag is on Fire, as well as a sneak peak at the new Holland venue, which this event benefits. Limited to 40 people. 140 Vesta St. Buy tickets and learn more at www.greatbasinfood.coop, http://gala.hollandreno.org, or at the co-op on 542 1/2 Plumas St.
