Company

Corporate lunacy runs wild in this snarky satire on office life. Jones, fresh out of college, accepts a position with Zephyr Holdings, a mysterious corporation where very strange things happen. Why are the floors numbered in reverse order, and how come nobody has ever met the CEO? Why is one employee so enraged over a stolen doughnut that he’ll sabotage his entire department to find the culprit? Though the book doesn’t delve too deeply into its characters, they’ll be familiar to anyone who’s spent time in an office environment. Company is at its best when slyly mocking the absurdity of office policies and showing what obeying the senseless commands of management can do to the soul.
