Christmas classic

Indulge in some holiday cheer with Creative Performing Arts Center’s production of The Nutcracker. The first night’s show is a benefit for Kids Kottage, which helps children who have been removed from their homes because of suspected abuse or neglect. The benefit dinner starts 6:30 p.m. followed by the show at 8 p.m. Dec. 19. Tickets are $75. Nutcracker performances are 8 p.m. Dec. 19-20, 2 p.m. Dec. 20 and 6 p.m. Dec. 21 at the Reno Hilton Theater, 2500 E. Second St. Tickets are $20-$45. Call 789-2285.
