Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Omnibus Vol. 1

Joss Whedon, Eric Powell, Joe Bennet, Others.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer was never a television show for the masses. It appealed to a cultish fan base. With all the wit, action and take ’em or leave ’em metaphors as the television series, this collection reprints some of Dark Horses’ original comic tales. Filled with vampires, demons and teen angst, you’ll think Buffy never left high school. In the opening story, drawn by Eric Powell, Spike and Dru crash the 1933 World’s Fair. The art is stark and harsh, giving the vampires a nice visual bite. An adaptation of Joss Whedon’s original film script and a collection of stories set prior to the television series all follow. With a second volume in the works, fans can look forward to being reintroduced to the whole Scooby gang and all their favorite big bads.
