Another Ensign critic heard from

A columnist for the Washington Times in Washington, D.C., last week wrote, “The salacious details surrounding the admitted affairs of South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford and Sen. John Ensign of Nevada may have fallen from the front pages of Washington and global newspapers, but they symbolize a decadent culture that cries out for chastisement or repudiation.”

The columnist is Armstrong Williams, who in 2005 was revealed to have accepted $240,000 from the Bush administration to plug George Bush’s “No Child Left Behind” education legislation in his commentaries. The Washington Times is owned by the Unification Church.
