2 Fast 2 Furious

Another in a string of bad summer sequels, this is an example of a franchise that should’ve quit while it was ahead. Vin Diesel has taken a pass, which leaves us with the stale Paul Walker taking the lead. Walker’s ex-cop character must go undercover again, this time to foil a drug runner. Tyrese costars in a film directed by John Singleton, the man who brought you Boyz N’ the Hood. Walker is a dull boy, and the movie is dumber than dirt. The stunts are too unbelievable, and the script has Walker saying “Bro!” every five words. The summer is not off to a good start.
