Adventure is out there

Welcome to our adventure family guide

As the weather warms up—and cools down and warms back up again—it's a great time to get outside and have adventures. There's plenty of stuff to do in Reno and the surrounding areas. We're truly in an ideal location with Lake Tahoe so close by and all the awesome things you can do in the city limits, there's an almost endless list of fun things to do here.

In this guide, you can read about a company that specializes in these kinds of activities in our Q&A with Liberty Zikos from Adventures of Reno. And then turn to Molly Moser's story for fun family things to do east of town. Erin Meyering writes a love letter to Virginia City and its large number of museums, and I talk rock climbing with RockSport Indoor Climbing Center's owner. If you want to know more about rafting, kayaking and tubing the Truckee, there's a story for you, too. And we've also included articles about Kids University going on all summer on the University of Nevada, Reno campus and some great parks for your furry friend to visit. Finally, if you're looking to do all things Reno, check out “A Very Reno Day.”

It's finally starting to look a bit like summer out there. Take a look at this guide and then get outside to enjoy it.
