Hi everybody,
We Nevadans like to think of ourselves as a pretty unique bunch. We
like to think we do everything a little differently here, and that
includes voting. In this week's feature story, RN&R news editor
Dennis Myers examines last year's election and talks to the experts
about the differences among national voting trends and the trends
here in Nevada and what those differences might mean for the future
of the state. We've gone from red to purple and are veering ever more
toward the blues. Just like B.B. King.
Elsewhere in the issue, special projects editor Ashley Hennefer
reports on a state bill regarding bear hunting in Nevada, arts writer
Kris Vagner checks out an exhibition by Native American artists at
the Nevada Museum of Art, and columnist Bruce Van Dyke reminisces
about one of his most memorable conversations, a particularly
psychedelic one with a boatsman who likes to play guitar for dolphins.
