Issue: July 07, 2011

Hi everybody.

"When you're alone, and life is making you lonely, you can always go ... downtown!" In this week's cover story, RN&R editor D. Brian Burghart visits East Fourth Street, long considered one of downtown Reno's most troubled drags, but perhaps finally in the midst of a revitalization. Nearby, RN&R news editor Dennis Myers visits what's left of "Tent City" outside of the homeless shelter in downtown Reno. In his editor's note, Brian writes about a sneak preview he got of CommRow, the climbing wall and recreation center currently under construction in the old Fitzgeralds building, and columnist Bruce Van

Dyke ruminates on the relative safety of, you guessed it, downtown Reno.

Be sure to pick up a newsprint version of the paper for exclusive cartoons and columns, and, as always, thanks for reading! If it weren't for you, we'd have to move to the suburbs.

Cheers,

Brad Bynum
