Mmm … brains

In case of a zombie infestation, the government of Chile is more likely to evacuate its people than build a wall around the city. That’s just one recent finding by the Council on Hemispheric Affairs (COHA).

The nonprofit research organization based its recent study, “Latin America and the Zombie Factor” (www.coha.org/14117), on publications like Theories of International Politics and Zombies, which applies the state of current politics to a theoretical zombie infestation.

COHA introduces zombies similar to those in Dawn of the Dead—they’re “desperate for sustenance, which is only placated by eating non-infected flesh, which results after biting humans and infecting them.” It then walks through the steps of discovering the outbreak and what it is (not cholera!) and how the governments of various Latin American countries would react. It’s enough to make us wonder: What would Chico do?
