          Finding his roots
Arts Editor Jason Cassidy dives into his family history in a search for his
birth father, with whom he'd had no contact for 38 years. In fact, he had
little more to go on than what info was on his birth certificate. In our
feature story this week, he tells the story of his personal journey and the
steps he took to track down the information that led up to a family reunion
of sorts.
In other news: The Outlaws are in the midst of a tough season, but see a
silver lining ahead; cops warn the city of Chico about the new
medical-marijuana ordinance; Paradise Hospice House offers residential
end-of-life care; and comedians take over Blue Room.
