What’s in the envelope?

Fresh Ink is the title of this year’s New Works Festival at The Blue Room. Four participating playwrights were each assigned four elements to utilize in their individual tales—an accordion that is never seen, the color blue, an eight-foot ladder that must remain on stage, and—the real kicker—an envelope that can never be opened. The four shows that have resulted from this assignment are tantalizingly different, and this is sure to be one of the most unusual and fascinating productions of the year.
