Take Back the Night

Women reclaim their right to safely walk at night

Take Back the Night is an all-day event for men and women to increase awareness about rape and the impact it has on society. There will be a keynote speaker, men’s activities and survivors’ speak-out that will be mediated by the Psychological Counseling and Wellness Center. After dark, there will be a candle-lit march downtown. Women make up over half the world’s population yet they can only go out safely during daylight hours. This candle-lit march is an effort to take back the night.
