Four men arrested in connection to robbery, stabbing in Chico

Two men were reportedly punched and kicked by four other men after refusing to hand over their alcohol near the intersection of Fourth and Ivy streets around midnight on Saturday, April 18.

Police found Josimar Arroyo, 25, lying in the gutter when they arrived, according to a Chico Police Department press release. His friend, Rajpal Singh, 21, had a stab wound to his face. Witnesses said the suspects left the scene in a pickup truck, which was promptly pulled over by Chico State Police.

The suspects, identified as Raoul S. Puente, Julian C. Palacios, Luis Flores-Rojas and Efrain Mata, were arrested on charges of attempted robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and battery with serious injury.
