Belles of the ball …

Northern California Ballet presents its production of Cinderella. This adaptation debuted in 1945 and was performed by the Bolshoi Ballet, with music by Serge Prokofiev and choreography by Rotislav Zakharov. In this scene, Cinderella (NCB soloist and Paradise High student Elizabeth Maxwell) arrives at the ball via her transformed pumpkin coach, attended by her fairy godmother (with wand) and four graceful fairies. Performances are held at the Paradise Performing Arts Center (777 Nunneley Rd.) at 7:15 p.m. Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18, with a 2:15 p.m. performance also on Saturday, May 18.
